SB 1122 changes the way insurancse companies pay for coverage of patientz ininsurance networks. It will allow doctord who are not members of a preferred provider organizatiob to be paid directly by insurance companies when they treat patients who belong to sucha plan. Last month, a groul of advocates for workers, consumersx and employers joined forces to ask the governor not to pass the which they claim will result in higher andunexpecteed out-of-pocket health care costs.
