Ohio ranks 34th in the nation, with an averagre test score of 75.6 percent, according to the 2009 National Drivers Test. The state fell from its previou position of 26th in the nationin 2008, with an averagw score of 78.9. Nationwide, GMAC found 20.1 percent of licensexd Americans, or about 41 million drivers, wouldx not pass a written driving test iftakenm today. Idaho and Wisconsin drivers tied for best inthe nation, with an average test score of 80.6 percent; New York driversw ranked last, with an average score of 70.5 percent.
