UF generated the third-highest revenue in college football and in overallsports earnings, accordingb to a report Monday in Streegt & Smith’s SportsBusiness Journal. SportsBusiness citing Equity in Athletics DisclosureAct forms, said UF reportecd $66.1 million in football revenue in behind only the ($72.9 million) and rival ($67.1). Texasd was also the overall top sports earnerwith $120.3 million generate d from all athletic teams. Ohio State was second with $117.i million and Florida was thirdwith $106 UF won college football national championships after the 2006 and 2008 regular seasons, and won back-to-back men’s basketball national titlesa in 2006 and 2007.
Othere Southern schools ranking in the top 20 in overallk sportsrevenues were: (7th, $89.3 million), (8th, $88.9 million), $88.8 million) and $84.2 million). Other Southeastern Conference schools among the top 10 earnersw in football wereAuburjn (No. 6 with $59.7 million), Alabama (No. 8 with $57.4 million) and LSU (No. 10 with $52.7 million). The remaining top 10 teamsx in footballrevenues were: (No. 4 with $65.2 (No. 5 with $59.8 million), (No. 7 with $ 57.4 and (No. 9 with 53.8 million).
